The much-anticipated event focused on 'Changing Paradigms of Skill Development & Research Innovations'

The International Skill Development Council (ISDC) successfully inaugurated its First Skill Development and Research Innovation Summit at the prestigious India International Centre, New Delhi, on the theme ‘Changing Paradigms of Skill Development & Research Innovations and Bridging the Gap at the Global Landscape’. The summit, which brought together leading experts from academia, research, and industry, aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation in skill development to address global challenges.

Under the esteemed guidance of ISDC Founder, Er. Dilip Kumar, the summit began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Ravi Kumar Chaudhary, Senior Scientist at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida. Dr. Chaudhary set the tone for the event, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and continuous innovation in the ever-evolving landscape of skill development and research.

The chief guest, Dr. (Brig.) Rakesh Gupta, shared insightful thoughts on the role of skill development in shaping global leaders and the workforce of tomorrow. The inaugural session featured expert talks from Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Propounder of the Needonomics School of Thought, and Dr. Dinesh Kumar, PhD (AIIMS IIT Delhi), who delved into key issues around skill development, interdisciplinary research, and bridging global gaps.

The first panel discussion, titled ‘Advancing Research Collaboration and Innovation for Global Thought Leadership,’ featured esteemed speakers including Prof. Shandar Ahmad (JNU), Prof. Sanjay Sharma (GBU), Dr. Vivek Gupta (GIMS), Dr. Rakesh Saroj (JNU), Dr. Dinesh Kumar (NIFTEM), and Dr. Priti Saxena (South Asian University). Moderated by Dr. Ravi Kumar Chaudhary, the interactive session sparked valuable discussions on interdisciplinary and translational research, funding opportunities, global research collaboration, and the role of open-access platforms in enhancing knowledge sharing.

The panel discussion was followed by the presentation of the 1st ISDC International Excellence Award for Individuals, celebrating outstanding contributions in skill development and research. Afterward, guests enjoyed a networking lunch.

The second session, moderated by Miss Anurima Mondal, Founder and Editor of EVolution Auto India magazine, focused on ‘Enhancing Advanced Skills through Industry-Academia Collaboration’. The discussion witnessed active participation of the esteemed panelists-Prof. Andrew M Lynn (JNU), Dr. Siya Ram (IGNOU), Dr. Atul Vashisht (Bennett University), Dr. Rajesh Gupta (GBU), Dr. Gaurav Kumar (GBU) and Mr. Mukesh Kumar (GIMS) and highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry, with a special emphasis on global skill mobility, research skills development across disciplines, and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and automation.

Following this session, Dr. Priti Saxena delivered an expert talk on the ‘Distinct Functional Versatility of Type III Polyketide Synthases and Modifying Enzymes in Mycobacterium Marinum,’ shedding light on cutting-edge research in biotechnology.

The summit culminated with the presentation of the 1st ISDC International Excellence Award for Institutions in various categories, recognizing the remarkable contributions of academic and research institutions in advancing skill development and innovation. The closing remarks were delivered by Dr. Ravi Kumar Chaudhary, who thanked the speakers, participants, and attendees for their valuable contributions to the event.
