We wish to bring to your attention an important clarification from UNESCO regarding the Pakistan-based organization International Council of...
🔹 UNESCO has officially confirmed that it has no affiliation or partnership with ICTSG.
Any representation of such a relationship is false and misleading.
🔹 UNESCO has issued a formal directive to Mr. Khalid Ahmed Khan, President of ICTSG, to cease and desist from using UNESCO’s name, acronym, or logo on ICTSG’s website, social media platforms, official documents, or communications of any kind.
If you or your organization have paid any fees to Mr. Khalid Ahmed Khan or ICTSG between 2017 and 2024, under the misbelief of a connection to UNESCO, you are encouraged to file a formal complaint. We are committed to supporting efforts to recover such funds.
UNESCO has clearly stated:
“There is no such on-going affiliation or cooperation between UNESCO and ICTSG. We have formally requested the President of ICTSG, Mr. Khalid Ahmed Khan, to cease and desist using UNESCO’s name, acronym or logos... Please inform your association members and concerned parties about this clarification.”
We urge all stakeholders in the traditional sports and games community to stay vigilant and to verify affiliations with credible international institutions.
For any further questions or to report a concern, please reach out through official UNESCO channels or your national cultural affairs authority.
